MTSL Group was formed in 2011 when the large medical practice we ran was sold to a national company. We all enjoyed working together and knew our collective talents could still benefit local companies. Since 2011, MTSL Group has expanded our billing and credentialing services across the United States. As we grow, we remain true to our core service; helping you focus on patients while we handle the paperwork
MTSL’s Team
Elizabeth Russell, MBA
Elizabeth has a Masters in Business Administration from Marylhurst University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Humboldt State. Over the years, Mrs. Russell has gained experience in several medical practices serving a wide range of billing functions from front desk duties to billing and collections management. Mrs. Russell has developed strong working relationships with many insurance companies and the workman’s compensation division to help stay current with billing regulations and guidelines to ensure fast and accurate payment.
When not providing services for MTSL’s clients, Mrs. Russell enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, scrap-booking, and going to the coast.
Mallory Espejo, CPC, CPCD
Mallory is a certified medical coder with over fifteen years’ experience in the medical field. Over the years Mallory has gained experience in several medical practices, serving a wide variety of functions from front desk to administration. She is client services director and co-owner at MTSL Group where she oversees new client onboarding, coding compliance & provides ongoing physician billing/coding education. Her work ethic combined with her experience & passion for billing has helped our providers implement processes to improve charting documentation, reduce denials & increase reimbursement.
When not providing services for MTSL’s clients, Mallory enjoys camping, baking, volunteering, and spending time with her 2 dogs.
Julia Puckett
Julia is a certified Credentialing Specialist and has been in the medical field for nearly 20 years with almost half of that time building MTSL Group’s credentialing department. She has served in many different roles including clinical, administrative, and managerial. Julia is MTSL’s credentialing manager where she helps new clients to determine needs, handles onboarding, and manages her growing staff. Her desire to provide excellent customer service and share her knowledge of the ever-changing world of credentialing has helped hundreds of providers and medical groups to successfully navigate the credentialing process.
When not providing services for MTSL’s clients, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband, son and dog, volunteering in the community, and traveling with friends.
Matthew Jacobsen
Matthew has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an Associates Degree in Accounting. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Jacobsen has developed practical, on the job experience in various facets of business including; banking, finance, and healthcare. Prior to launching MTSL Group, he held the titles of Credit Manager, General Manager, and COO in locally-owned, small to midsize companies, serving several different sectors.
When not serving the needs of MTSL’s clients or spending time with his wife and kids, Mr. Jacobsen enjoys bowling, hiking, and playing poker.
